pg_end_copy
(PHP 4 >= 4.0.3, PHP 5, PHP 7, PHP 8)
pg_end_copy — Sync with PostgreSQL backend
Description
pg_end_copy() syncs the PostgreSQL frontend (usually a web server process) with the PostgreSQL server after doing a copy operation performed by pg_put_line(). pg_end_copy() must be issued, otherwise the PostgreSQL server may get out of sync with the frontend and will report an error.
Parameters
connectionAn PgSql\Connection instance. When
connectionisnull, the default connection is used. The default connection is the last connection made by pg_connect() or pg_pconnect().WarningAs of PHP 8.1.0, using the default connection is deprecated.
Changelog
| Version | Description |
|---|---|
| 8.1.0 | The connection parameter expects an PgSql\Connection instance now; previously, a resource was expected. |
| 8.0.0 | connection is now nullable. |
